The Nova Scotia Black Doctors Mentorship Program is a HAAC-led community-driven initiative designed to foster meaningful connections, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing among black medical students, residents, and both Canadian and internationally trained physicians across Nova Scotia. Rooted in Afro-centric ways of knowing, this program creates culturally safe spaces where doctors in Nova Scotia can offer mentorship, career guidance, and peer support. The program is designed to provide black Mentors and mentees the opportunity to seek guidance, share experiences, and build supportive relationships throughout their medical journeys.
Whether you are seeking mentorship or ready to guide the next generation of physicians of African descent, we invite you to be part of this growing community.
Must be internationally trained physicians undergoing the licensure process, or current medical students in Nova Scotia. This ensures a trusted, community-focused space where members can build meaningful mentorship connections while upholding the values of the program.
